Nowadays everyone loves a good take away and our appetite for takeaway food always remains strong. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing as there are many options available for healthy takeaway.

When it comes to food that is highly delicious, Indian takeaway usually tops of the list. There are plenty of delicious healthy Indian choices available that are not high in fat. Breads such as Naan and paratha are coated with butter and enriched with sugars and fats and occasionally are stuffed. When you are ordering rice then choose brown rice if available otherwise plain or boiled/steamed rice is just as healthy.

If curry is your dish and you like them hot, always order a raita as a side dish. This is made from natural yoghurt and cucumber and will keep your mouth cool and help with digestion of the curry, a much healthier alternative to glasses of lager or beer.

This may sound surprising but fish can be one of the healthiest options when it comes to takeaway food. Good choices of fish include Barbacued Plate Fish is the best as it is a fish that is rich in iodine which helps to stimulate the metabolism.
